I wanted to ask Acura TSX owners, modifiers and enthusiasts what you thought about the 2009 Acura TSX? I am in the market for a new car to upgrade my Honda Accord, and I was looking at the 2009 Acura TSX. The only problem with me is that this car is only a 4 cylinder. I know now with gas prices, it's probably a good thing, and originally, I was looking at a 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid, but keep going back to Honda/Acura.
Here are some videos I've been watching on the 2009 Acura TSX, that I'll share, so you can give me your opinion
Has anyone also had any reliability or repair issues with theirs?
45 miles each way is alot,i guess your only choice is to get a new hybrid/gas saver or get yourself a metro for work and a nice powerful car for pleasure during weekends or whenever you go out if you can financially do that.

the more I look at the new TSX, the more I like it. the pictures really don't do it justice. it looks much better in person. that said, I have not driven one yet. I will wait until then to form my opinion.
as far as mechanical problems, i think you will hear about more in a few months. it's still pretty new.
i got to drive a few before they were even up for sale at my dealership, they feel pretty good in 6spd, the overall looks though dont do it for me really. as a mechanics point of view, i love the engine bay, there is tons of room and it will be very easy to work on, i see future warranty trannies being really easy to get done in about 1.5 hours i also hate the new plastic intake manifolds they come with.
Boy Acura is really effing up their grilles lately
1999 MBP 3.2TL-P 6MT Customer: Hey do you think we should change out the transmission fluid? Mechanic: No, it still looks nice and pink. Customer: Well, a pussy can look nice and pink and still give you AIDs. Mechanic: Yea, we should probably go ahead and change it.
I'm fairly new to the TSX, having recently purchased a 2005 AT Navi. The 2009 is pretty awe-inspiring in person. Personally, I like the clean lines of the 2004-08's, along with the touch screen navi. However, if I had never owned a first gen TSX, I'd be all over the 2009. Beautiful car.
Great car its really something to get into and rive away ya kno you'll just want to keep goin but yeah good gas and from what i heard the suspension is pretty bad ass on it
when I first saw the pictures of the 09 tsx I thought it was ugly (especially the front grille). While I was at my acura dealer (Lehigh Valley in Emmaus, Pa) getting my 06 tsx serviced in April I test drove a 09 6MT w/tech brasque red pearl tsx. I was very impressed with the way it drove. My 06 MR/eb 6MT w/nav, bought new 11/17/06, has 54,000+ miles. I love it but maybe next May I might be getting the 09. I average 30,000 miles a year.
I work at an Acura dealership here in the Bay Area, and the new TSX is really a nice car. It's got plenty of room, almost as much as the TL, nice interior, a good looking exterior, it's definitely a head turner. I drove them before they were available for sale, and it rode really well. It has Electronic Power Steering (which they first incorporated in the NSX) and it's got a smooth ride. I'd recommend getting the accessory rims for the car, they really make it stand out in the crowd.
I did exactly what you are talking about. Traded a 2003 Accord (V6) for a TSX. (ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS) You are going to give-up some interior room, BUT the 4 banger is just as fun to drive as my old V6. (I am have a grand old time with all the "gingerbread" the TSX offers...) Good Luck
Hey there! I would definitely get the Tsx if I were you. I just bought my 2009 Tsx and I love it. Although just being a 4 cyl, it has great torque to make up for loss in horsepower. Plus all the luxury extras you get that come standard with this car. You wont regret it!
