RE: 2nd luder in here.
LOL nice. I think you are right with the 2 gallon mark honestly.
The other thing that you can do is heat up the cat. Heat it up good. And I mean good.
Make sure that its hot as hell right before you go in for smog and you should pass also. The heat will actually burn off any excess stuff that you are not to be letting out. I have seen glowing red cats pass emissions when 10 min before when it was cool, it failed miserably.

Holy retard, batman! I didn't see this until just now.
My username on PP is 92lude_typeS. I hate it... cause i got on there before Ireally knew that there wasn't a "type s" for the ludes. Its alright though LOL.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Thanks for the ethanol suggestion, I don't pass mine cuz I don't have a catalityc converter, will fix that as soon as a find a high flow cat, my engine setup is almost the same but cheaper, lol.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Well it's not running yet, It sucked water through the cold air intake on a rainy day, I thought it might be a little thirsty, lol. I was still your average H23, bolt ons, no cat, straight 2.5 pipe, head shaved .030 over, usdm H22 pistons, was planning to do the H23vtec next year but since this happened, I've started buying the parts since I already had the head sitting "in my living room", along with other H22 stuff.
I'm making a deal with some guy over a custom built header that's claimed to put about 22whp, kind of expensive. currently I got the type s pistons, type s cams, hope to get that header, straight 2.5 pipe, h22 head has been ported and polished with a three angle valve job, stock valve train, H23 crank and rods, 70mm skunk 2 Throtle body, ported and port matched Intake manifold, cometic head gasket, aluminum radiator.
Next thing to do before my friend puts it all toghether is to rehone the block and there's not a lot of shops that work on FRM here, I live in El Paso TX, this city is barely growing and there's maybe like a couple of turer shops here, that's the hardest part of it all. Preludes are rarely seeing here, I can't wait to finish it.
It's my first hour here, I love the site so far. Ps. plan to do a Hondata s200 tune sometime in the future, whish me luck.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
good to here. so let me get my facts straight; you screen name is mean SH guy? but you have an h23? wich means you have a 4th gen not a 5th? koo koo.
-a custon header usually is the best route. i bought the megan header just because i wanted to hurry up and finish the build. ive waited long enough. i plan on getting a quality header. its a tie between SMSP and Hytec. expensive, bought the quality is so worth it. do you know the specs on the header getting made for you?
- ya, i had the same problem looking for a shop that could rehone FRM walls as well. i had to dig pretty deep and i finally found a place.
- lastly, have you looked up other modes of tuning? hondata is great, but there have been so many other success stories from using other modes of tunning like crome or neptune?

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Fisrt of all, the screen name sounds gay I know it, lol. It's nothing related for SH prelude, that's just what I use everywhere since I got my first pc, for some reason I've kept it. Yep I have a 4th gen. I've waited like 6 months since my car messed up but honestly, I'd rather get things done now even though I might end up broke. Specs on the header are custom 4-2-1 stainless header. 1 3/4in primaries, stepped to 1 7/8, stepped again to 2 inch with a 2.5 in collector and 3 in megaphone. Picked up 22 hp and 5tq (its a big header) over our baseline. this was 1100 new. That's what he told me. I don't know much about tuning but what advise would you give me regarding what ecu to use and what tuning mode?

RE: 2nd luder in here.
^^lol. its all good. trust me, i know all about waiting. all to well. id rather get things done now as well. ive been broke for a long ass time as well. that header sounds sick! ide love to see pics of that if you hadem. do they make an h22 header? damn 22hp is a whole fricken lot!!
- as far as tunning goes, the most populer ecu ive seen preludes use is something along the lines of a chipped p72 from a gsr. (is that right?) ive personally tried out the different hondata's, neptune, and crome. IMO crome is the easiest to use and easiest to yeild more gains. i love crome. it has more tunning options than hondata with a more universal tunning interface. NOT to say the others arnt any good. crome is like my new love. lol

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Yeah, well the guy just e-mailed me, he is gonna sell me the header after all. I'm selling a couple of cars so hopefully I'll come up with the money no later than next week. I made a deal for an aero magic lip also, I want the car to look hott too for them ladies, hehe. Next I wanna get a P72. I think there's a guy at HT that's selling me one for 100 bucks. Where and how does crome work? Is it a socket installed on the ECU? Is it worth it?

RE: 2nd luder in here.
One guy has a usdm and another a jdm, they're both P72's. One guy at HT is selling a P13 from a 96 prelude, go to the F/S thread and go to the second page, that's where you'll find him.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
^^damn! i am on 9 arnt i. lol. i dont pay attention to those. people will randomly rep you for stuff you do or say or help out on this forum. iono. doesnt really mean anything. MY BUILD:
- i already bought a p72, but theres a lil complication in the matter. i have to get my address confirmed on paypal cuz the fucker who sold me the p72 wont ship unless its confirmed. wich makes it a lil difficult b/c i just moved and hadnt changed my billing address on my card info, so i gota wait for that and only then can i update my paypal confirmation. makes me so fricken pissed. keep me posted about the p72 your looking at as ide def buy that if he ever gets back to responding to you.
-so the p72 is the only thing stopping from my car from leaving the shop. its literally the last link. so i need it like, NOW. still a lil pissed. sorry for venting. but thats whats goin on. lol
