RE: 2nd luder in here.
It's the H22 head and H23 block, crank and rods are H23, I know the rods need to be rebushed for the H22 type s pistons, but they just told me that I needed to balance the crank, rods and pistons, oohh well, I got nothing to lose if I do it anyways, I just want this thing to be reliable and still use 91 Ocatane gas, compression will be at about 11:5.1

RE: 2nd luder in here.
I'm using stock H23 rods, I had to rebush the other ones I had when I had the H22 pistons before this build. The type s pistons are supposed to fit H22 rods so rebushing H23 rods is necessary to make them fit with each other. I'll probably use ACL rod bearing but I heard factory honda ones are just as good, I talked to my friend today and he just needs the parts, he'll probably get it done in like less than a week, but I still haven't bought the header, hopefully next week.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
What!!!!!! I thought they were the same for all H22's. I got the Nippon type s pistons from ebay, I think they're jdm, well actually I bought them from some guy at H-T, I'm sure they're jdm cuz usdm don't use type s pistons, where did you hear this?

RE: 2nd luder in here.
I understand, well the 50mm or 55mm is the size on the mains on the crank right, correct me if I"m wrong. So I guess when shopping for bearings you look for the ones for the right crank, excuse my ignorance and correct me if I'm wrong, by the way, isn't it cool to own a thread al for ourselves? lol, I wonder why nobody comes up with stupid coments like they do at other forums?

RE: 2nd luder in here.
dang nice build
i totally agree with u about how turbo setups need sooo much maintenance its like u spend more time tuning it and worrying about it blowing than u actually do driving it. thats why i also want a N/A engine, i always try to think of things in the long run
but yea, excited to see how it turns out! keep on updating!
I'm so JDM, I sleep on the right side of the bed

RE: 2nd luder in here.
^^will do. thnx. and its not like an n/a motor wont have any maintenance, its just that a boosted car needs so much more attention. im a lil more for longevity now. ive had my fair share of turbod cars. i think im done.
**UPDATE**
- finally got the damned ecu today. hopefully ill get a chance to install it tonight, despite all the negative things ive heard about it. and hopefully ill have a start up story for everyone.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
the guys at H-T never got back to me, oh well, I just purchased an EL gauge cluster and sparko pedals, I should've saved it for the header, sometimes I get depressed cuz things don't go as planned, I hope I never get the idea of selling the prelude, it's just too much shit I got to take care of that gives me a headache, specially cuz there's only few shops here, ohh my !!!!

RE: 2nd luder in here.
it fluctuates. ive narrowed down to two possible things.
1.) i tested the current and theres NONE going to the ecu. so the ecu is bad or doesnt support my idle enough. i just got a jdm p72. im hoping to gawd that that fixes it because option 2 will devistate my pockets.
2.) because its an h224 that came out of a 5th gen lude, i swapped it without the resistor box. the 5th gen preludes use lower impedence injectors where as every other h22 uses lower. when i did the swap i took the injectors off of my old h22a(low impedense) and put it on the a4 without the resistor box. damnit. i hope its not that cuz that would mean that i have to get a set of injectors.
---i took the p13 thats was previously in the lude out for my buddies p72.(his is tuned to run 1000cc injectors on his turbo eg6 so his basmaps and tunning settings are waaaaaaaay too wrong for my ride) BUT, it atleast idled. ideled horribly, but atleast i know that there is current going to his ecu. wich led me to believe that the p13 is bad. hopefully. i should know by tonight if my car will work or not.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Damn, I hope everything turned out ok bro. I feel your pain, well at least the guy that's selling the header that I told you about told me that he'll wait cuz he's still trying to see how much hp he can make with his new setup, so I'm a little relieved. On the other hand, I traded another prelude that I was selling for a 1990300zx, I hope I don't regret it. Wish me luck too.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Lol, well I just hope the engine is ok cuz the guy said it needed an alternator and a clutch, I want to finish my prelude build and let my brother race me on the 300zx, I have a feeling I'm gonna beat the 300zx, I've never owned a 6 or 8 cylinder car, I've always loved Hondas, I remember the time I beat some Mustang 5.0 with my lude, now talk about respect for imports, lol.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
You think so? I've never actually seen 300zx race till this morning on youtube, there's not that many parts for it on ebay, I couldn't even find performance spark plug wires for the Z. I think my lude has a good chance, plus, the Z isn't turbo or anything. Ohh, I just got some fog lights for the lude, do you know how to install them? They come without the connectors on the wire, switch or relay, I plan to just run them with the head lights, what do you suggest?

RE: 2nd luder in here.
ahh i c. if its not the twin turbo 300zx, than you might have a chance. i was thinking you got the turbod one. lol. ya, curtains for u if it was the turbo one. my mechanic has a 850 hp 300zx. that thing is a frigen monster.
--what kind of fogs are they? are they the genuine jdm ones? either way, there pretty easy to install. pretty straight foward. depending on what kinda laws there are in TX i wouldnt run the fogs straight to the headlights. i know its illegal to have fogs on at all times the headlights are on over here in MD, VA. it would be a good excuse for you to get the jdm fog switch and run it to that.

whoa! I did not know that I was supposed to know this stuff
well, I know it's from Integra. That's about it. That's why I asked you to tell me more about this ecu. From what I know you are the right person to talk to about this type of stuff.
