RE: 2nd luder in here.
Well the one I traded for the 300zx had a lot of electrical problems, but it's gone thank god, I don't know if I ever told you but I got my engine steamed cleaned before I put that prelude for sale and the stupid guys from there just threw the wire you use to hold your hood on top of everything, the wire touched the battery and, well guess what, I ended up with a burnt ECU, I got another one at H-T but the sunroof, reverse lights, wipers, horn, and door locks stopped working. My guess was that it might have something burnt by the ignition switch cuz I replaced the fuse box by the engine bay. I also checked all fuses but I didn't know how to test the relays, so that's why I was curious to know.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
shorting the ecu might have shorted the motors for all of those electrical parts. thats what happened to my window lift motors when i grounded out my battery.
***UPDATE****
- sooooo the fucken p72 i got was threw a knock sensor code, an abs code, and an ignition code. i couldnt get rid of any of them. i was pissed for a good few hours cuz thats total bullshit. no words could describe my anger. lol.
--luckily, one of my mechanics friends had a p28 spoon chipped ecu with a rev limiter set to 9000 already!! yup. sold for 224. thank god. we installed it and it started up and idled nearly perfect. way better than before. it sounds like i have a high profile cam.(wich i dont mind cuz i actually do lol.) the idle is sitting somewhere around 1k. great.
---now the bad news; ive accumilated nearly 3140 dollars worth of a bill. thats about nearly 2 years worth of guys ive got to help me, nearly permanent bay time (since its at my mechanics garage and ive used up and etire spot for about 2 years), parts through my mechanic even with his honda discount, and allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the efin parts. gawddamnit. its so depressing. gotta do it.

Hope to hear how you're car runs soon. I'm in the middle of everything, I think the hardest thing will be finding a shop that hones FRM cilynder walls.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
good luck with that. i lucked out and found a reputable shop last minute. i was about to send it out. that right there, is one of those detrimental things if not done correctly. especially considering how finicky the frm walls are.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
holy shit. no. lol. thats definetly not the way to do it. theres only 1 type of grinding stone you can use to rehone rmf sleaves. and even then, its a finicky business. alls i gotta say is, make sure the guy doing yours knows his shit.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Man! tell me something so I won't quit, it's getting in my head, specially the honing the damn block and the P72 thing, I"m about to buy one and they keep telling me shit about it, I'm not rich or anything and time goes by that I lose hope on that car. Will have a lot of parts for sale in case I don't finish it.

RE: 2nd luder in here.
dont be discouraged. trust me, i know allll about that. my builds almost 2 years in the making. ive spent the amount of money on repairs + rebuild that equals more than i paid for the car. plus i had to wait. without another mode of transport. (although it wasnt so bad as i take the metro to school) its a learning process. and you gotta stay persistent.
1.) just research the machine shop your takin your block to. first question you should ask is if they rehone FRM specific walls. if they dont; then the shops a no-go.
2.) do NOT get a p72 unless your absolutely sure its virgin. theres other(better) ecu options. ask around. read up a bit. if in doubt, just ask me. lol
3.) if you do sell your shit, garuntee i might buy sumthin from ya. lol

RE: 2nd luder in here.
Lol, thanks buddy, I'm having hard days at work, in my case I have another car while I get the prelude finished, thank God for that. I found some guy that'll do the job on the P72, I'm much happier now. Money is becoming an issue now. lol. I'm not selling my shit just yet, lol.
