93 Civic EX Coupe Won't Start?????????????
My 93 Civic EX Coupe won't start. I drove it fine all day, came home and parked it. A few hours later i went to go somewhere and it wouldn't start. Since i have a new block (B16)and a decade old starter i figured the solonoid went out. I decided to replace the starter which comes with the solonoid. The car still won't start. The 7.5 starter fuse also looks good. Only other thing i can think of is the main relay or clutch switch. If you push start the car it fires right up. Has anyone come across something like this?

I've checked it out, i've got good power to the solonoid. It could be the ignition switch but i doubt it. I'm going to test my main relay in my gf's white civic and see what hapens from there.

If you push start the car it fires right up... yep it has spark. put the car in neutral, have someone sit in the car with their foot on the brake so it can't move. jump the starter wire and see if the car starts. if it does thn you know the problem is in your clutch switch. If it doesn't start then you know it's in the starter switch.

Well the starter switch is in the ignition cylinder. The starter, considering it's new, will spin if it's jumped for direct power flow. Check the clutch switch. The switch might be bad or the rubber bumper might have fallen off.
Also, check all the grounds. Starter, valve cover, and back of the engine. The one on the back of the engine sometimes wriggles itself loose somehow.

Well today i went up to the shop that has done a lot of work for me over the last couple decades. I had him pull up a diagram on the clutch because i was still thinking it was the clutch safety. What i thought was the clutch switch was the cruise button. The clutch switch is way up above it and when i push the clutch in while on the floor i could see where there was a hole because the hole plug was missing. I used a hole plug i had, got up and it firied right up.
