RE: A Real CR-VTEC - B20VTEC
Very different. Nice job going against the grain..
Thanks guys for your support. I'm a die-hard Honda fan, and I've had my share of coupes already (99Si, 99LS, 95EG) But this was always my favorite. This is my second CRV and I said that if I could do it all again I would take care of it. She's running really good since the swap and I love the power increase of the motor + vtec. All I gotta do is boost it now and I'll be all set.

RE: A Real CR-VTEC - B20VTEC
Thanks a lot guys. Hopefully I get some more exposure to get some sponsor attention. Next year or the end of this year I'm either doing Turbo or Supercharge. Not sure yet...

RE: A Real CR-VTEC - B20VTEC
Thanks for the idea. I'll think about doing that. How much did it cost you? Personally, if I have to get the engine opened up I'd like to have more done to it. It will cost a bit more now but in the long run its obviously less money. Doing cams, gears, etc. I just keep thinking that I'll open the engine up more if I just do a manual swap.

And see thats the thing. These days gas is really expensive especially up here in Connecticut. 93 is about $4.60/gal. I'm filling up with midgrade, since I'm still on my stock GSR injectors. I should be using 310's. I will soon and get it retuned but I'm scarred about being locked into 93 pump gas. By no means is my CRV a race car you know. I'm not trying to get it that way either, but I do want it to move when I need it to. The manual swap would/will be key.

RE: A Real CR-VTEC - B20VTEC
Yea I was out there at the unofficial Marcus Dairy meet. It was really cool! Met a lot of people that were impressed with my build. Its pretty special to me since this is my second CRV. I've always wanted to be where I'm at with it now.
Haven't taken it to the track yet. There's a big event in a few weeks down in NJ (Atco Speedway) Puerto Rico vs USA that I may or may not head down for. There was a bunch of people from here planning on driving down but now they're starting to fade. Its on a street tune but I need bigger injectors and then a Dyno tune to pull some more power out of my top end. I'm happy with the low and midrange power, but I want more at top. Hopefully I'll do this soon!

to be honest, that's not that bad for gas lol we dont even have 93 down here in arizona! we gots 91 octane! it costs 4.75 for 87 octane and almost 5 dollars for 91 octane!

RE: A Real CR-VTEC - B20VTEC
Ok so I just replaced my front shocks on Saturday and since it was the first time I've ever had blown shocks I learned something new. I'm a little upset with them though because I bought them new and I was steady thinking it was the coilovers making the car bounce the way it was bouncing. I didn't have new ones but I did still have the OEM (old) ones to put back on and they worked beautifully on a road test trip to Brooklyn from Hartford on Sunday. Potholes, bumps, dips, and the average bad roads of NY and still drove home like a champ! And yes I will be sending back the KYB (GR-2's) to the manufacturer for some new replacements.

This the first time you seeing my ride homegirl? Thanks for the props! Its been a long stressful year modifying this baby. I'm actually looking forward to winterizing her when the time comes. All year its been nothing but her and although I love my CRV, there is life outside of it. hehehe...
I've got some more pictures from some car shows I need to post up here too. Plus a Honda Day in September that I hope to close out this season with.
