Word, anything can be done if you have the money. I wanna say I've heard of this before but I'm not sure. Depends on how far you're trying to go with your teggy. You already have the LS motor and the B20 is going to give you a higher compression, but you're not going to notice too much of a power increase since you're tranny is an autobox. You're better off getting a VTEC head B16 or B18 and replace your non-vtec head now. Not sure all the parts you'd need to convert it to all wheel drive though...

thats what you shud do. the head of a B16 shud not be too expensive, and then you shall have LS Vtec yo! more Vtec thru the powerband.

RE: automatics

AWD CRV auto transmission. AWD CRV rear differential and axle shafts. Custom driveshaft. Custom front axles. A LOT of custom fabrication. I don't think CRVs came in a manual, but Godspeed would know better than me. And finally, A LOT of money, time, and a second car to drive around during the fabrication process.

There might be some RWD 6th Gen Accords and 2nd Gen TLs coming soon

Customer: Hey do you think we should change out the transmission fluid?
Mechanic: No, it still looks nice and pink.
Customer: Well, a pussy can look nice and pink and still give you AIDs.
Mechanic: Yea, we should probably go ahead and change it.

See that? A lot of custom fab work... Personally its not worth it unless you get sponsored for the task. You'll be famous if you do it though... Not Brad Pitt famous but maybe along the lines of Napoleon Dynomite.

And yes they did make manual drive CRV's. Of all the 1st gen's made, reportedly 6%. I've been in a few and drove a few and they're awesome and quick. Especially the ones with AWD!

Well there you have it. Find yourself a sponsor, and a 1st gen CRV manual tranny, and you're gold.

RE: automatics

a company called braille autosports did that exact thing. they sold the car on ebay a little while back but they said it could be FWD RWD or AWD with about 30 mins of work. they entered it in a drift competition and it kinda fell on its face but AWD would be awesome

RE: automatics

Might want to build the engine to be a powerhouse of beast-ness before embarking on a project like this. Otherwise the AWD will be essentially useless, IMO.

RE: automatics

yea i was about to say wat 95 gsr said

i too was looking to making my integra an awd but the fabrication is way too much and costy

and also, since it'd have to be custom, a lot of the parts could break down. thats one down-side of an awd platform; more things means more things can break...not saying thats true all the time but a lot of the time thats the case

but still, that'd be a beast on the trackThumbUp

I'm so JDM, I sleep on the right side of the bed

RE: automatics

DBseven, you are absolutely right. Even with the CRV rear diff and axles, you have to worry about breaking anything and everything simply because it's a custom rigged vehicle. That is true with all custom built engines, etc...unfortunately...

My Integra's an automatic b20. You can use all ls parts including the trans on it. And it dropped a second on my 1/4 mile time lol

RE: automatics

If your current tranny bolts right up to that b20 it will work like butter. The gears will be longer that's all. Don't worry about it. Go for it!

Or perhaps get the ITR/B16 tranny and a GSR head...and beat the pants off of ITRs...with a bad ass tune of course.

RE: automatics

Here's a 0-80 mph vid from my teg. Sorry about the crappy cell phone vid. It's an automatic b20 integra with a skunk2 intake mani, aem intake, ls trans, skunk2 catback and test pipe.

That'll give you an idea what you'll be lookin' at.
