car won't start
i have a b16a obd-1 and car won't start. starts when you retard the dizzy but its cut so it don't sit right and it lags when you try to move and thats sometimes. sometimes it won't pick up past 1000 rpms. everyonce in a while it will then it picks up but the moment i slow down or stop it back to struggling to get past 1000 rpms to 1500 rpms. what could it be?

RE: car won't start
is your ignition timing off?
check the timing belt. it could have slipped
get a timing gun and check it
but since it's occasionally
check if any wires are shorting
your spark plug wires could actually be arching as well. get a buddy and have him rev your engine while you watch the engine (in the dark) you'll be able to see the arch (if that's what happens) when your car lags

RE: car won't start
get a timing gun or go to autozone or somewhere and borrow one and check your timing
do you know where your timing belt is?
look at that and make sure it's ok
but since this only happens occasionally i doubt its your timing. i think it's more of the other crap i said
