Finally got a D40

Well I took some trial shots with the new D40.. bear with me I'm still getting used to it and these were the first shots taken with it.

Nice. The Nikon D series DSLR's are awesome cameras. I've had my D80 for almost a year and I'm STILL trying to learn all of the functions. Bang Head

Not really much of a shoot, just took some quick pics after I picked up the camera. I am going to get a good wash/wax in one of these days and go on a real shoot with some other people in town.

Oh yea.. and my car's not even clean right now.

I am a pic whore you just didn't notice the past few weeks b/c my dad went out of town and I let him take my P&S so I didn't have anything to shoot with. They are going to keep on rolling in now.

In short, I use Photomatix to do the HDR but it's a little more in depth than that

I shoot in RAW and bring in the image to Photoshop 10.0 CS3
When you open a RAW file, it brings up a screen where you can make all kinds of adjustments to the image
I manually adjust the exposures there and save every one as a different JPG i.e. 001-0 , 001+1 , 001+2 , 001-1 , 001-2
These are the files that I use in Photomatix to do the actual HDR
After I do the HDR, I take that image to Noise Ninja to get rid of any noise from the HDR and original pic itself
Then, it's back to Photoshop for some final touches and the border
