h2d engine management
well, i'm officially getting the chance to put the H2D into my girl's rex (about DAMN time). i finally get to order the parts on either the 20th or 21st. i'm just not sure if i can use turboedit since i decided not to convert to obd1. hopefully ovrbst will give me some good news on forum.pgmfi.org

right now i'm trying to figure out if i can use decent gsr map on bre (ben ogle's rom editor) just to get it started and then tune from there. honestly i would rather have the dual maps.

ahhhh!!!! Bang Head the headaches that come with tuning aren't so great. lol

If you're not breaking parts, you're not going fast enough.

RE: h2d engine management
luckily for me and my cabesa i figured it out. all i did was open ng61 in bre and opened the gsr basemap also in bre and copied fuel and ignition tables to ng61, pre-vtec and post-vtec. after that i saved it and then opened the ng61 file in turboedit and put the options that i wanted. options are as follows:
launch control: 4000rpm
vtec: engage 4500rpm; disengage 4400rpm
cel: stock
vtec activation: ac relay
rev limiter: 7500rpm
o2 sen.: on
map sen.: stock

can't wait to test it out and see how if it works!!

RE: h2d engine management
they do but the people that sell them do basically what i did. except in that case, the big thing out now is Crome (obd-1) and since i dont want to convert or pay for a Crome Pro license right now, i'll just stick to TurboEDIT and BRE for now. either way if i bought an ecu with the params like that already i could just take out the chip and open a .bin file in one of the rom editors i have, change the params to my liking, erase the .bin on the chip, and burn the .bin that i modified to the chip. i just really didn't see any point of having someone else do it for me since tuning is what i hope to be doing in the near future

i should change my rev limiter to 11k rpm. j.k. lmao!!! heaven at eleven.

Also what made you go with a D series tranny? Why not a B?

RE: h2d engine management
lighter drivetrain parts. plus d-series gears take abuse better than b-series. another thing, it'll be cheaper to fully build the trans with shorter gears and lsd. lucky for me d-series trannies arent in high demand as the b-, so that means parts are cheaper.

i'm curious about the "nevermind", omsinsi...
