93 Legend type II motor aftermaket support.
I see this cars very rarely, even more than the Prelude, I own one. Anyways, I was an ad on craigslist where they're selling a 93 Lengend coupe, 6spd with a type II motor, I was kind of impressed at first when I saw that it was a six speed, I googled it right aways and saw that it has 230hp. So I was wondering if there's any aftermarket support for this car/engine? and what's the motor code? I'm considering buying it but I'm very competitive and don't just want a luxury acura, I want it to go fast as well.

I just wanted to see if it was worth buying it since it a six speed and the motor seems to make decent power.

$3500, but I'd give him $2500 according to what I read on google that's what they have it valued for.

interesting. as far as aftermarket support goes, theres always something you can do. most cam manufactures can custom make a set, the company i got my coilover kit from states on there website that if you dont see your app. they will add it...from how they make it sound. exhausts are more fun to make custom anyways, in my opinion. if you know what your doing, turbos can be put on anything.

A supercharger on that thing would be nice, I'm going to check it out tomorrow. I called the owner today and he's the third owner, the other two were and older lady and an older man, him being the third owner sounded kind of mature as well, so well see in what condition it is and how it drives.

What would you compare it with in terms of speed and performance? How's the ride confort? cuz I love both.

I'm cosidering buying it, the guys hasn't gotten back to me yet but the other choise was a 93 300zx 5spd non turbo, that guy didn't call back either but I have a feeling the legend is a nice combo of performance and luxury, I have to call that guy again.

The legendmotor is simular to themotorin the nsx, allbeit the nsx has had numerous improvements. Someguy on honda-swap bought a nsxmotor and put it in his legend. It isone of he hardest to do as no compny makes anything for the swap. However the should be adequate support. You can always find or custom make n exhust and intake, probably even headers. Get a custom cam, and your in buisness! Turbo will be difficult as for themanifolds, but other thn tht im sure everything else is not bad.
As far as the 300, thats not too bad either. Dont make the mistke of thinkin you can jus buy the turbos from the tt model and be all good. If you go this route i would recomend purchasing a full front clip from a tt model, normally costing around 2500, tht includes the motor, turbos, intercoolers, ecu, piping, downpipe, injectors etc. Even though its the same type of engine, their are numerous differences in the internals of the two engines.
In the end it all depends on wht you want, once you dump about 10k into the car, and WEEKS of custom work, problems and headaches, what would you be more happy in, get THAT car. good luck!!!!
