new vs old
so who is actually excited about the new nsx?

I absolutely loved the old one and personally think the new one will be a disappointment comparatively

RE: new vs old
i don't think it should have the nsx name because of exactly that
it's going to be completely different

Quote:For its next exotic, Acura will once again tap into the corporate racing program and install a 5.0-liter V-10 (largely because Honda doesn't have a V-8 in its stable at this time) with upwards of 500 horsepower. Not coincidentally, this will put it on par with the upcoming Lexus LF-A supercar, which will also boast a 500-plus-horse V-10. The Advanced Sports Car concept was conceived using a rear-drive version of Acura's deft Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), but we wouldn't rule out all-wheel drive, either.

Yea the only reason I heard of it getting the Honda name is because Acura is going to be more of the luxury cars and hondas going to be all the sport cars. Hondas looking for a class to keep up with caddy and such.

RE: new vs old
i cant find the quote of what Fukui's quote but hes after the LF-A too

random site Wrote:Acura’s next supercar is said to be powered by a 550 horsepower 5.5L V10 derived from the V8 to be used in the company’s all-new RL sedan, with power being sent to all four wheels via an updated version of the company’s SH-AWD. An eight-speed gearbox should help to keep the V10 in its sweet spot.

sounds hot
just needs a new name!

The original NSX was distinctive and exotic, looked like a true supercar. I'm having mixed feelings for the new NSX, the side reminds me of a 350Z too much. Although, Im stoked that its going to have a V10.

EW. If that picture is an accurate image of what the new NSX will look like, I think I might have to shun Honda. The NSX has a specific look and by-golly it shouldn't steer away from that look (pun intended).

old NSX > new NSX.

I love the S2K's but they shouldn't be the chassis for an NSX... and that's my .02 cents.
