help
well looks like its built time, spun a bearing racing an old built silverado last night, i stayed at his door, and surpised him, but sadly my car is hurt, ive found another ls and a b20 both for 300, i dont know wich to choose, but i will my keeping my ls and over the time of acumulating funds building for boost

damn man. That sucks. Oh well, hopefully it works out for the best. I would go with the b20. I kinda want a b20 vtec build.

its not vtec tho but i might go with it its an 00 and the other is an a1 like mine

well yeah but you were planning on doing ls/vtec. Why not get the b16 head and do b20/vtec. Thats what I would do.

I say if the long term goal is boost then forget the vtec. LS turbos run like chanps, the cams will always run on the slightly aggressive side but meh. I ran a 427 high riser with a seriously aggressive cam, that thing felt like it was gonna die at red lights lol. Being turbo cams they will overlap less and still run fairly smoothly at an idle if I had to guess.

yea now that this has happened im thinking forget the v-tec why do i need it with boost lol

I mean, I'll be running a boosted i-vtec motor but that because my car came with a i-vtec head. Just the simple fact you won't NEED vtec with a boosted motor is all.
