RE: Gear Ratio Calculator

It helped me on my turbo build in choosing a tranny/motor combo. I ended up going with the LS trans due to the longer gearing and the fact that I set up my motor/turbo set up to boost low and fast. Was funny at the time as everyone was telling me it would be terrible and cause my power to drop off in third. But the calculator told me different. Now all the nay sayers who knocked my choice have all switched from type r and gsr trannys to LS after they saw my dyno numbers and how long and usable my power band is. Boost builds fast at 3000rpm and hits like a hammer at 4400 (v-tec) all the way to 8500rpm. I have 5000 rpms of usable boost to play with. Its a sweet sweet thing.

RE: Gear Ratio Calculator

Hmm, weird...I thought it was pretty common to go with the LS tranny while boosted due to the longer gears reason, guess not. Lol
