Seriously, what do you guys use to dry your vehicle? ...One of the reasons I hate washing my ride is because I can't seem to dry it properly. I have a california wiper blade which is fucking awesome and recommend it to everyone and use that for the most part, but it seems every towel I try it leaves shit behind. Bang Head

Microfiber... could also be that your paint has lots of imperfections which is pulling fibers on your towel. Time to clay bar, polish and wax ;)

i just used this ardex black machine polish stuff and it works wonders for making your car shine. i used it for the first time today and my paint shines hella good in the sun like if the car was wet. your supposed to wax it after but i didnt have time to do that today but its still the best looking its been since i've had the car.

Check out my car!

RE: People who arent lazy and washes their own cars!

I never hear the end of it from everyone in my family about how much i wax and wash my car...I wipe it down (to get bugs & carbon off) almost everyday. I do what i would call a rinse cycle once to twice a week during the week, which is trip to the car wash with hot soap, some crazy multi-colored foam spray that eats through dirt like its nothing, foam brush, hot soap again, rinse, and micro-fiber hand dry. Then on the weekends, every weekend without fail, is a rinse cycle (same as during the week) then once i get home i use Meguiars tire shine (not foam) which works amazing, invisible glass, and a product called Wizards that i got from a Auto Paint store that i work right next to. There is a compound that hides anything and gets through EVERYTHING...My mom had a scuff from scraping something on her bumper and it wouldn't come off for weeks until i used this stuff and without and fight it came right out.....then there is a spray wax (Also by Wizards) that makes the paint shine, feel soft, and look amazing. My car is painted Championship White so i do the best i can to make sure she's shining. I would without a doubt recommend the Wizards line of products for detailing your car, however it is a bit expensive compared to your basic Armor All and things like that but it is well worth the $$$.....

RE: People who arent lazy and washes their own cars!

during the week at the car wash i go to cost me $10 for 20 minutes, then once i get out i micro-fiber it for about 20 minutes...but on the weekends it takes about an extra hour to hour and a half with compounding and spray wax... i absolutely love doing it though and it makes her look soooo good....

RE: People who arent lazy and washes their own cars!

good thread. well, I wash my car 2-3 times a month and wax once a month.

I use oem Honda cleaning products. Any dealership sells them. They cost only a buck more than Mothers, Turtle wax, Armor All etc.

In reality most products are the same crap. It all depends on who is washing, cleaning and detailing the car.
